We nominate some less-known identities to go on the Spotlight Genders section of the navigation bar, then vote on them! Nominations are open for a week.

You can nominate up to 5 genders! The more nominations, the more fun the voting is!

Any gender is up for nomination (so long as it meets the requirements)!

These are the rules for nomination genders, and failure to comply with them may/will result in your nominations not being considered for voting. Please be sure to read these! Other than a couple little slips, everyone did awesome following these the last couple rounds; lets keep that trend.

• They must already have a page on this wiki; you must add the page /before/ you nominate them.

• The page must be formatted correctly, and have proper references. It should be "complete" or somewhere close to that.

• Please do not nominate genders that do not have a pride flag on their page; if they don’t, and you would still like to nominate it, a pride flag can be created and added to its page /before/ the nomination.

• Please do not nominate more than /five/ genders per round. You do not /have/ to nominate five, that is just the maximum.

• We are nominating genders, gender systems, neo-AGABS, or other /gender identity/ labels. You cannot nominate orientations, such as “lesbian,” or terms that /surround/ gender, such as “dysphoria" or "neopronouns."

• You are allowed to nominate a gender system as a whole, or an individual gender(s) in it.

• Please do not nominate very broad terms, such as “non-binary” or “transgender.”

• Please do not nominate terms such as “cisgender,” “gender binary,” or anything similar.

• Please do not nominate terms that are related to triggering or sensitive topics.

• Don't nominate current Spotlight Genders

• You are allowed to nominate the same gender(s) as another user, but keep in mind that multiple users nominating the same gender(s) doesn't count towards voting.

• You cannot use alternate accounts to vote for a gender(s) multiple times.

• If a gender system is voted to be on the nav bar, the individual genders will not be listed, but will just have a link to its general page.

• You may vote on a gender based on whatever preference you have. Maybe you really like the definition, really like the flag, want to support the coiner, or something else! The “why this gender?” can be anything. And you don’t have to tell us your “why” either.

• There is no “prize” for nominating a gender or having a gender you nominated added to the nav bar.
