Hello, everyone! We're going to host a wiki-wide event for coining genders and flags related to spring and early spring holidays (April Fool's Day, Easter, St. Patrick's Day if you want, etc.)!
As of today, along with the return of the pastel spring wiki theme, users are encouraged to coin genders and flags themes around spring & spring holidays! (Alternate, spring-themed flags for pre-existing genders can be included as well, such as in the Halloween boyflux flag, as an example.)
This is also the "nomination" post for Spotlight Genders Round 9 -- any genders (surrounding the theme) that are coined during this event will be automatically nominated, unless the coiner requests that they not be nominated. (You can also nominate pre-existing spring-themed genders, so long as they have a page!) As always, you can nominate up to five genders!
For this one, voting will begin in two weeks, so that's how long you've got to coin your genders & give them pages!
Note: Any pre-existing gender with a new spring/holiday flag that's created during the event during the event will also be nominated. If voted into the Spotlight Genders, the themed flag will be moved into the "main" flag spot until the Spotlight Genders change again.
**Please still make a separate coining post for new genders; don't use the replies to this announcement!**
Pages must still be made for newly-coined genders in order for them to be included in the voting, so please create the page/ask someone else for help after coining a gender(s) for the event!
To be clear, you're still allowed to coin genders/flags that aren't spring/holiday-themed, we're just encouraging themed ones for the event!
Have fun creating, y'all!
