There's been a lot of drama lately making users uncomfortable and annoying staff. So I'm here to say please everyone just stop. However in the sake of trying to keep the peace I have two annoucments.
Users will now receive short blocks for consistently bringing posts off topic
These blocks will be relatively short. Personally I think they should start at probably 12-24hrs to ensure the user is impacted by them. So please stop taking posts off topic. There are three different spaces to have off topic conversations. You can use message walls, the weekly post or make your own post if its high enough quality.
Something that's been happening that hasn't before is users sending DNIs to other users.
That's never as long as I've been here happened before; should we make specific policies for it? Respecting them does fall under treating other wikians with respect but should there be more? They definitely have the issue to start stuff (and have actually already) but I don't think we should say no to them entirely. People should be allowed to set boundaries like that if they so choose.
