Yes, pronouns are like ice cream. You default to vanilla because it's the starter pack flavour, the one everyone recommends. He/him for AMABs and she/her for AFABs in their early life. Eventually, as you realize you're queer, there's other ice cream flavours to try. Chocolate, strawberry, banana, mint, the possibilities are endless. Eventually, you become comfortable with an ice cream flavour and you only eat that one; you only identify as this pronoun. But, it's also possible to like more than one flavour and order a Neapolitan ice cream; multiple pronouns. (Fun fact: It's any set of three ice cream flavours, and doesn't have to be chocolate, strawberry or vanilla.)
