In light of a few recent Discussions posts about our swearing policies, it's time to revisit them, as well as policies on adding a TW, CW, or SW.
Currently, the only allowed swear words on Gender Wiki are:
Lmao
Lmfao
Bffr
Damn
Dammit
Goddammit
Hell
Piss/Pissed
There are currently no exemptions to this rule. There should be no censored or implied swear words beyond these, either.
These are the Warning tags that are being considered for use in wiki policies:
TW ~ Trigger Warning
SW ~ Sensory Warning
CW ~ Content Warning
The current guidelines are as follows:
"You are allowed to make posts about sensitive topics, so long as there is a proper trigger warning in it's title or in the first line. In addition, some space should be added between the beginning of the post and the triggering content.
Please also add sensory warning if your post contains bold, bright, flashing, fast-moving images/video/content, or if there is any text written in capital letters only, and be sure to also add a large chunk of space before the sensitive graphics."
Add your opinions in the replies to this post; all will be debated and considered, and the general community consensus will become wiki policy. Please consider the thoughts, feelings, and accessibility of others.
