70scoric was coined via page creation on the LGBTQIA+ Wiki by Wiki user Weniviere. The flag was made by the same user. The rainbow represents the color scheme in the 70s and the well-known pride flag. The 70 is supposed to represent the 70s as a whole. [1]
On January 15th, 2021, Fandom user Snotdrips made the alternate 70scoric flags, which have no confirmed meaning.[1]
