Gender Wiki

Croy, or Croi, is a gender identity in which one's gender may feel masculine or like a boy but never becomes male. One may have a masculine gender expression, and includes tomboys and nonbinary mascs.

Common Definition[]

Being a Croy is where one is not a boy, but may feel like one or express themselves in a way seen as that of a “boy”. Being a Croy can apply to anyone whose gender expression is masculine but whose gender identity never reaches being a “girl”.

Tomboys and masculine non-binary people can be considered “croys”. Also, I’d assume certain genderfluid people could be too, so long as their gender identity doesn’t include being full-on male.

Etymology[]

Like “Crei”, Croy comes from the secret code conlang “Cregnese”, created by Deadmouth Productions. Croy comes from combining “creg” with “boy”, or replacing the “b” with “cr”, but the identity came to mean something different over time.[4]

History[]

Croy was coined on November 16th, 2024 by Fandom user Deadmouth Productions. The flag was included in the coining post.[1] Two alternative flags were coined by Fandom user Flautistfox on December 21st, 2024.[3]
