★ Lingender is an umbrella term for all genders which are androgynous in nature or connected to being an androgyne. Lingenders can be related to both womanhood or manhood due to being androgynous in nature. Another alternate name for lingender is fimingender, though this isn’t as widely used.
It can be used as an umbrella term for any genders that are primarily androgynous. It can also be used as a gender on its own, referring to any gender that may not be fully defined by being but is still related to androgyny, or a gender in which androgyny is its defining feature. It's often used by people who cannot narrow down their gender any more than being androgynous in nature.
Some may add lin- as a prefix such as linboy, linenby, or lingirl for example.[2]
History[]
Lingender's coiner is beyond-mogai-pride-flags and was coined on the 12th of June, 2018.[3] The flag was later uploaded on to Pride-Flags's page on DeviantArt (June 17th, 2018).[1]
Later that same year on December 3rd, Tumblr user, mogaicore created a simplified version on the lingender flag.[4]

Other than using the same colors as the androgyne flag, neither variant of the lingender flag has any known meanings behind the colors.
