Ningender is an umbrella term for any genders which are neutral in nature. Ningenders tend not to relate to either womanhood or manhood, however a few do.
Ningender can also be used as a gender on its own, referring to any gender that isn't fully defined by being neutral but is still related to neutralness, or a gender in which neutralness is its defining feature. It's often used by people who cannot narrow down their gender any more than being neutral or non-binary.
Some may add nin- as a prefix such as ninboy, ninenby, or ningirl for example.[2]
History[]
On June 15th, 2017, Pastelmemer on DeviantArt coined ningender. The coinage was posted on Pride-Flags also on DeviantArt.[1]
In December 3rd, 2018, mogaicore on Tumblr created a simplified version of the original ningender flag.[3] Then, on July 5th, 2022, Transfeminine on the Fandom Wiki created a simplified version of the ningender flag.[4]
