Non-binary can be used as a gender modality on its own. This experience can be described as enbimodal or nonbimodal.[1]
For example, one may feel they are neither exclusively 100% cis or exclusively 100% trans. It includes those who are beyond these primary gender modalities, such as absgender experiences, or those who feel partially trans or cis, such as demitrans or demicis. Other times, someone can use non-binary itself as their gender modality.
It's similar to queermodal or genqueermodal.[2]
