Other gender identification is when your gender identity doesn't match your assigned sex and/or gender of rearing. This profound disconnect between one's gender identity and assigned sex is not solely determined by the presence or absence of gender dysphoria or gender euphoria; however, these experiences can intertwine and intersect in complex ways.

While gender dysphoria may arise from the distress caused by the incongruence between one's gender identity and physical characteristics, it is important to recognize that not all individuals with other gender identifications experience this distress. Gender Euphoria, conversely, reflects the deep sense of joy and affirmation that arises when an individual's gender expression or perceived gender aligns with their true identity, although this too is not a universal experience among transgender individuals.
