The Aspect-Aligned Gender Spectrum

★ The Aspect-Aligned Gender Spectrum or TAAGS is a system of terms used to describe genders that feel different aspects in nature. Other names for this system are: gingenders, genders-in-nature, in-nature genders, or ingenders.

The Aspect-Aligned Gender Spectrum is not the same as The Alibinary System (or TAS). TAS is how a non-binary gender relates (or doesnt relate) to binary genders. However a gender can be one, both, or neither TAS and TAAGS.

The first coined terms for TAAGS were mingender, fingender and ningender. They were coined by Pastelmemer and uploaded by Pride-Flags on DeviantArt, this was on the 18th and 19th of Febuary 2017. At the time of coinage, there was no umbrella term for three labels as that would come much later on.^[1]^[2]^[3] It was based on gender-based orientations fin-, min-, and nin- (FMN),^[4] coined by pleurocarpous in July, 2014^[5] via Tumblr blog pride-flags-for-us (PFFU).^[6]

On June 12th, 2018, lingender was coined, named after linsexual. It was coined by beyond-mogai-pride-flags (BMPF) on Tumblr.^[7] Xingender was coined a day later also by beyond-mogai-pride-flags on Tumblr.^[8] On the 26th of the same month, aingender flag was designed by Mod AP,^[9] coined by anonymous via Tumblr blog on February, 2018.^[10]^[11] Later that same year on December 3rd, mogaicore (on Tumblr) made simplifed flags for mingender, fingender, ningender, and lingender.^[12]

Agingender was coined on January 13th, 2019 by imoga on Tumblr,^[13] after AGIN was suggested by system-lgbt.^[14] Unsure of the exact date, a user named ElderflowerJuice, made an alternative flag for agingender.^[15]

On May 7th, 2021, oingender was coined by an anonymous user on the LGBTA Wiki.^[16] But it was used before in January, 2020, for another concept.^[17]^[18]

The term Aspect-Aligned Gender Spectrum was coined around the beginning of November of 2021 by Gender Wiki user BitzOfPuzzelPeices. Later on November 27th, 2021, mossyfaeboy on Reddit made a flag for TAAGS.
